We are a group of Year 1 students from Singapore Management University, and this is a Group Web Presentation for our Technology & World Change course. Our group comprises of people from different faculties who have combined together to form a single entity. Using our knowledge in different field and our thirst for new knowledge, we decided to research into the field of nano technology. Why nanotechnology? The future of nanotechnology seems rather interesting and enlightening therefore we came to a consensus to look into how nanotechnology might affect our lives now in the present as well as towards the future.

"We live in exciting times"

-Professor Gurinder Shahi

We understand that this is a team collaboration and take upmost pride in this website that we have created. Using the data and research that we have collaborated, our group has meticulously inputted our information here. Our main aim is to look at existing and postulate future effects of nanotechnology with regards to social, economic, political and environmental impacts.

Also, we look at future technologies in Nanomedicine and forecast the possible leaps that mankind will take in the advancement of science in the healthcare industry. On the whole, we thoroughly enjoyed putting this together. The past 13 weeks of lessons have greatly benefitted us and given us a lot to think about. It has equipped us with the necesary critical thinking skills and broad based knowledge to allow us to construct this website. "Technology and world change" seems like a direct relationship. Technology inevitably changes the world whether for the good or the better. Thus far, technology has only served to enhance the lives of the human race insofar as to those who have access to it. The pertinent question of Yali however, still serves to scratch the heads of the people who attempt to answer it. In our journey to build up our webpage, we've gained valuable knowledge on how Nanotechnology is set to change the lives of the human race. Whether or not everyone has access to it, will only be known in the time to come.

All good things must come to an end. This page would have never been possible without the valuable, exciting and enriching lessons Professor Shahi has given us. The input of our very hard working Teaching Assistant, Victor Looi has benefitted us in every way possible as well. For that, we sincerely thank you for the awesome time we've had in these 13 weeks!
